Sometimes two canon sources will contradict one another.

Source 1 Source 2 Stronger Canon
Japanese text Non-Japanese text Japanese text. Any other text is a translation from the original Japanese, or a translation of a translation, and information is often lost in the translation.
Original game Re-released game Re-released game. Often a re-release will have improved translations and updates information to better suit the overall storyline.
