Besides this and the necessary uses for the Song of Storms in the windmill and Springwater cave, there are also a couple other uses for this song. If you approach a Gossip Stone and play the Song of Storms, a big fairy will come out. These fairies will heal both your health and magic, but they cannot be captured in a bottle. Alternately, you can play the song in a pond in Hyrule Field to release one of these fairies. To find the pond, exit from Zora's River to Hyrule Field and take the river's left branch.

When you learn the song, Guru-Guru says that he learned it from a child seven years ago, but that child is you. If you learned it from Guru-Guru, and he learned it from you, then just where did the song come from? In Majora's Mask, Flat wrote the Song of Storms, but Link learned the song and entered the OoT loop before he ever went to Termina. It seems that the origin of the Song of Storms in OoT will forever remain a paradox.
