From Zelda Legends Wiki

This is specially to davogones (he is the webmaster isn't he?):

In the first days there have been problems with characters that have had different names through Zelda "history" (specially with those that didn't have a name in OoT and did in MM). Because of this, I think there should be adopted general lines about this. My proposal is: -For those characters that did have a different name in both OoT and MM (and also other names), they should be in different articles. (e. g. Malon (OoT) (MC?), Romani and Cremia (MM)). -For those that had an official name that doesn't look like a name (I think I'm not speaking very clearly) and that had a normal name in the following games, they should be together in an article called with the "normal name" (e. g. Anju, but with a redirect from Chicken Lady and Cucco Lady). -If they only have appeared in OoT and MM, the article should be called with both names. It doesn't matter whether they have an apparent name (e. g. Guru-Guru and Windmill music man) or not (e. g. Grog and Chicken Lady's brother)

Formatting of game names

On Wikipedia, game names are formatted as italics, such as "Cremia and Romani appear in Majora's Mask. They live at Romani Ranch." This makes it easier to distinguish non-linked game names (such as when a game's name is mentioned a few times in an area, in which is would be absured to link each and every instance). Or should the abbreviation be used, such as "Cremia and Romani appear in MM. They live at Romani Ranch."? --Lesoria 04:18, 28 January 2006 (EST)

Well, in our years of Zelda discussion the standard has always been to use the game abbreviation. This practice is so widespread that I'm sure most Zelda fan understand the abbreviation. This practice is used all over Zelda Legends, and I would consider this wiki an extension of Zelda Legends, so I suggest sticking with abbreviations. In general, I would say do things like Wikipedia except when it might conflict with how things are done on the Zelda Legends web site, which mainly caters to hardcore Zelda storyline fans. -davogones 04:50, 28 January 2006 (EST)

Thanks for the quick reply! I don't follow fandom much, so I'm rather new to a lot of conventions. I have read over the help page, however, and plan to adapt as best I can to the existing ways of the site and this wiki. (For example, after I started a basic page for Malon to get information on her written, I looked at some other characters to see how they were laid out, then I adapted the Malon page to match.) --Lesoria 05:56, 28 January 2006 (EST)

Important Articles

There are some really important characters that should be written NOW e. g.

My idea (I've already talked to davogones about it) is that we write them all together, that is, one of us prepares the article Zelda in LoZ and put it in the Zelda article, another person should write Zelda in AoL and so on. I think we should start with them now. By now I have saved for myself the OoT parts of these articles (yes, I know, I'm really egoist), because it's the game I know best. Every person that wants to do a part of these five articles should write a commntary here saying about which game.

I can write up the NES version info. If I put anything for OoT, it's just so it won't be bare, so don't think I'm trying to steal your thunder. It'd just be a teeny, tiny place holder until you fill it out ;) I had previously written up basic information on Hyrule, but it really needs people who remember specific details to add to it, and really fill it out. --Lesoria 22:11, 29 January 2006 (EST)

Quick information items

Could someone create a quick information table for items? (I'm not a sysop, so I think I cannot) I think it should be like this:

For example, for the Ocarina of Time:

Quick Item Info:

Appearance: A blue ocarina with the Triforce mark (I'm not very good at descriptions)
Found in: Hyrule Field; near Hyrule Castle Town
Main Req. Items: Kokiri's Emerald, Goron's Ruby, Zora's Sapphire
Creator(s): Royal Family (?), Ancient Sages (?)
Former user(s): Princess Zelda
Main function(s): Open the Door of Time, travel through space
Found in: Clock Tower
Main Required Items: Magic Meter, Land Title Deed
Creator(s): The same ones as in OoT
Former user(s): Princess Zelda, Link, Skull Kid
Main function(s): Travel through time
