Description

Link's Awakening (DX)

When you encounter Arm-Mimics in these games be careful because a direct hit with the Level 1 Sword won’t do any damage against them. Don’t touch them as they deal 3 hearts damage for each time you make contact with them! Arm-Mimics always imitate your movements, but won’t move if you are walking against a wall. However if you grab a wall with the Power Bracelet you can control them into any direction. To take out an Arm-Mimic you can use either a Level 2 Sword, the Spin Attack or dash into them with the Pegasus Boots in combination with your sword. This works great when trying to clear the corridors in the Dream Shrine.

Oracle of Ages / Seasons

The Arm-Mimics look exactly the same as in LA, but they cause only one heart damage and you can use a normal attack with your sword against them as well. Another difference is that the Arm-Mimics can withstand more damage. When you encounter Arm-Mimics in these games, you can easily dispose of them by making them walk into a gap or you can use your Spin Attack against them. A few of these enemies can be found in Poison Moth’s Lair in OoS.

Miscellaneous Notes

These little beasts always wave their arms when they are on the move. There doesn’t seem to be any reason why they are behave like that, but that would perhaps explain their name.
