The time line of the Legend of Zelda series has always been a source of controversy.
The timeline is a list of when events of each game occured in chronological order. There are many theories on what the true timeline, and even heated debates occure on the order within each theory. Below some of the popular theories.
- Split Timeline Theory: Timeline splits after OoT in two Timelines: a Child one and an Adult one.
- Single Timeline Theory
- Multiple Timeline Theory: There is not an overall Timeline, a few timelines. Example: LoZ-AoL; TMC-FS-FSA
