The younger of the two Ranch girls in Majora's Mask, she asks Link to assist her in defending the ranch from aliens. The aliens are trying to kidnap the cows (and if you fail, Romani as well).
Very cheerful, but frustrated at not being taken seriously, Romani is much the same as her sprite-sake, young Malon. She takes to refering to Link by a nickname, and is generally playful and exuberant.
Appears to be itself a giant tree, rising up from the sea. A few Babas and Octoroks inhabit the ground near the tree entrance, keeping people from wandering up a stream into the presence of the Deku Tree.

The water flowing from inside of Forest Haven has special purity which can be used to invigorate the Korok's saplings. However, the purity does have a time limit, and only the water collected from inside the tree walls is pure.

Upon first ariving at Forest Haven the Deku Tree seems to be having a Chu infestation. Once a handful are defeated in front of the tree, the place becomes serene and calming. A lilting wooden theme flowing across a bumbling brass theme gives the area a very distinct feel from previous Zelda Forests.
The only character other than Link to appear in the opening scene (if you don't count the egg), she is responsible for finding Link after the storm and nursing him back to health. Link awakens for the first time in her and her father Talon's house.
Marin and Link's love story is one of the most subtle to grace the video game industry, but is nonetheless touching. Link learns a song from her early on in the story, has her follow him all over the place about halfway through, and saves Marin in the mountains late in the story.
